Nastia Chornodid, student:
Hello, I'm Nastia Chornodid . I'm eleven years old . I want to be a journalist and I write articles for our school newspaper. I like history , languages and computer. I am working on my personal web site . I have never participated in online competitions. When my teacher invited me to the project I agreed at once.
I have made progress a lot in this research project. I have learned a lot about the culture and arts of my country and hometown. And I have come to realize that it requires much time, attention and labor to be a success.
I have known more about the traditional dolls made by Kateryna Volkova, and how much efforts she has made to teach others our national traditions and history.
Nastia Lebedenko, student:
Hi, I'm Nastia Lebedenko. I'm in the fifth form. I'm ten years old. Frankly speaking I don't know what I want to be in the future because I like English, Mathematics and Ukrainian History. I like making toys in my free time. There are a lot of yellow, orange and pink hand - made toys in my collection. These colours are my favourites. I'm going to take part in the reginal contest for the best motanka.
It was very iteresting for me to participate in this project and to communicate with our doll-maker Katerina Volkova.. I imitated her master class.
And one more thing, I think it's great that we helped our town museum. I'm proud that my doll is in the museum now! May be my children will see it one day!
Yaroslav Litvin, student:
Hi, my name's Yaroslav and I'm eleven years old. I love animals, reading books and studying at school. I've got a pet. It is a rabbit. I am very happy because I have a lot of friends. I'm happy that my teacher invited me to this project. First I couldn't understand how a boy can study dolls. But the process was very exciting! I tried much and learnt much new. I liked writing articles and posting to the website. I was so devoted to it that my mum even presented me with a russian national doll Matrioshka because I want to have a collection of toys from different countries. And my teacher says that my English is much better now.
Anna Tarasova, student:
I'm Anna. I was also very excited about participating in the International Ciber Fair, but I didn't know it would be a hard work. I'm very impatient and always want to see the results as soon as possible. But it was a chance to train myself. Now I feel happy that we've done it! This project let me learn some computer skills and I also had a very special feeling every time I met Mrs Kateryna! As if she was my granny! She is never boring has so many interesting stories! I've learnt so much about our culture! And it's because of this project we could also learn how to be devoted and proud of our country.
